Black and White
A black and white monochrome image is timeless. It draws in the observer to connect with the image at an emotional level. Gone are distracting colours. The theme can be dramatic or soft, happy or sad, but rarely in-between. The observer is made to choose.

Personal Statement
This to me this is the purest form of photography. The colours are a complete contrast. Polar opposites. Each time I gaze at a completed print I am reminded of the fragility of life (even my own). Happiness or tragedy are just a moment away. Success or failure will depend on the next decision. Life is a journey in learning to co-exist with both.
